Born on August 20th, 1975, Marcelo has more than 20 years of international experience starting in his home country Bolivia, and then moving to Dominican Republic and launching telecom, digital and fin-tech businesses in Tanzania, Rwanda, El Salvador, and Mexico.

Throughout his career, Marcelo has been a transformational and highly valued member of corporate leadership recognized for executive agility and influence. He has been appointed to launch, deploy, and manage some of the first mobile data networks, and mobile financial services in countries (large and small) in both Latin America and Africa.

Marcelo is a firm believer in Digital Technologies and the power it gives to countries’ societies as a whole to leap forward and advance sustainably while improving the quality of life of all citizens.
