Chief Executive Officer of Global Digital Innovation Network (GDIN)

Currently the CEO of Global Digital Innovation Network (GDIN)*, an independent foundation registered under the Korean Ministry of Science and ICT, with the main objective of building global digital industry ecosystems and promoting digital collaboration and market expansion.

Over twenty years, he has supported Korean startups in Silicon Valley. Prior to GDIN, he was the founding member and CEO of ETRI Silicon Valley, The Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute a Korean Government research institution. Creating Silicon Valley atmosphere bridging academia and the industry, making an idea into reality. Prior to that, he has been the CEO of iPark Silicon Valley government agency, and of the incubating business. He was responsible for developing, implementing, managing business strategies for iPark Silicon Valley’s portfolio companies and directing Korea government policy & budget development of the high-tech industry. In addition, he has focused on creating investments, partnerships and strategic alliances with U.S. channel partners.

On top of establishing and running Government operation in the American market, he himself is an entrepreneur with multiple startups in the heart of SV, Santa Clara. His expertise in technology startups and global business are among many. He has supported over 3,000 startups penetrating in the global market.

He completed a Ph.D. course at Vanderbilt University in Finance and received an MS from Seoul National University in Environmental Planning and Design.
