Gabriela Ruggeri
Gabriela serves as the Managing Partner at Overboost, a company builder and startup accelerator operating in Latin America. Currently, Overboost is engaged in the development and management of various funds and programs aimed at entrepreneurs, including Kamay Ventures, the region’s first open corporate capital fund. Notably, this year, Gabriela has been recognized for her accomplishments and dedication in the field, being recently included as one of the 100 leading corporate venturing professionals in the Global Corporate Venturing Powerlist.
Kamay Ventures, funded by Coca-Cola Latin America and Grupo Arcor, specializes in investing in innovative projects that drive digital transformation across various stages of the production process. Under Gabriela’s leadership, Overboost has successfully executed various programs, such as Thinkmovil.com, a company-building initiative focused on mobile industry startups, and Edu4.me, an innovation program that brings together entrepreneurs, universities, corporations, investors, and public entities to collaboratively craft technologically innovative solutions for education.
Moreover, Gabriela has provided her investment insights and guidance to companies like Fidu, Extendeal, Wormhole IT, Viaedu, Workana, N5, Events.com, Kin Analytics, Minimalart, Gomovil.co, Warner Innovation Hub, and others. Concurrently, she continues to lead Seagrass Capital Partners, an investment firm with a focus on ventures in Latin America.
Having represented DMGT International as the Director of Business Development for Latin America for six years, Gabriela’s strategic approach involved investing in high-quality, sustainable, and market-leading information and media companies across both B2B and consumer sectors on a global scale.
Gabriela serves on the board of investments made by DMGT, Overboost, Seagrass, and Kamay Ventures in the region. She was a board member of the Foundation Junior Achievement for Argentina and currently holds a mentoring role at Endeavor on a global level. Prior to her current role, she held the position of Regional General Director for ISI Emerging Markets within Euromoney Institutional Investor, a role she pioneered in Latin America since the inception of ISI Emerging Markets in 1997. The company was later acquired by Euromoney Institutional Investor.
Gabriela holds a degree in economics from the Universidad Católica Argentina and has studied and worked in the United States, Brazil, and Chile. She also serves as an ambassador for “We Invest,” a community of women engaged in investment activities across various sectors in Latin America, including Venture Capital, Private Equity, Family Offices, Accelerators, and Angel Investments. Furthermore, she is fluent in Spanish, English, and Portuguese.
