Executive Vice President of Sustainability and Smart Cities Certification, Mexican Institute of Sustainable Smart Cities (IMCISS)

Alicia is the current President of Sustainability for Mexico, SUMe 2021-2023, Vice President of Sustainability at the Mexican Institute of Sustainable Smart Cities (IMCISS) and director and founder of Revitaliza Consultores since 2009. She holds an Architectural degree from the University of the Americas of Puebla and a Master’s Degree in Socio-Environmental Business Administration; with a specialty as Sustainable Building Advisor from the Seattle Community College, 2006. Alicia is a leader in the transformation of the construction environment and one of the most relevant women in the transformation of Mexico and LatAm, recognized as a LEED Fellow by the GBCI since 2020 for her more than 20 years of experience and leadership, as well as her unique work within the international green construction industry.

She has developed her work in the USA, Mexico, and Latin America, leading more than 72 certification processes for buildings, communities, and cities. She currently works with a wide arrange of real estate portfolios, real estate investment funds and sustainable communities on ESG issues, creating environmental strategies, decarbonization routes and routes towards Net Zero Emissions. Her impact in the real estate environment allows her experience to influence increasingly larger companies and big scale projects.

In 2015 she received the Women in Sustainable Leadership award as one of the 20 women changing the landscape of sustainability worldwide and in 2017 her company was recognized as one of the 30 most promising businesses by Forbes magazine. She was also recognized with the Leadership in Green Construction award, granted by the USGBC to all Latin American Countries in 2019. Alicia actively works on creating well-being in the construction field for all.
